Most insurance companies require appraisals before they will issue a policy to insure your jewelry. In some cases, you may need an appraisal for tax purposes, or maybe you have been wondering what your grandmother’s heirloom engagement ring might be worth. At Smythe & Cross, we take the time to thoroughly inspect your jewelry and evaluate it as accurately as possible.
You are welcome to bring in your items for appraisal at any time. We will ask that you leave your items with us and we will do our best to facilitate the process in a timely manner. We recommend getting your jewelry appraised every 3-5 years so that in case of a loss, you are adequately covered.
